DESCRIPTION:THEME: FROM A LOCAL COMMODITY TO A GLOBAL BRAND: ACCELERATING WOMEN & YOUTH-LED VALUE ADDITION IN SHEA \n\nKEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2026 WORLD SHEA EXPO\n\n\n1. A symbolic shea tree planting by the Vice President to demonstrate that shea can be cultivated and not only harvested from the wild\n2. Participatory shea tree planting by CEOs of Partner Agencies\, with trees embellished with their names\n3. A 30-acre shea plantation as a legacy project\n4. A field visit to the Nut for Growth Factory\n5. Launch of the Youth in Shea Innovation Initiative\n6. A more interactive format for Day 2 and 3\, with reduced lengthy presentations\n7. Presentation of institutionally sponsored Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to women pickers;\n8. Participation of approximately 120 exhibitors.\n\n\nSPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS OF THE NDA\n\n\n1. To indicate interest in making a presentation on a preferred thematic area\n2. Institution to be projected as the lead Partner Agency in northern Ghana\n3. To participate in one or more panel discussion segments\n4. To sustain its commendable initiative of providing exhibition opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)\, as was done in the previous edition\n5. Allocation of six (6) complimentary exhibition booths to the NDA as a key Partner – five (5) to be distributed among the regions and one (1) for corporate branding and exhibition\n6. To make some financial commitments in addition to logistical support and\n7. To consider incorporating tricycles as a support intervention for women in the shea value chain\, as raised by the Committee
